5.13 Was "Forever Autumn" written with Justin Hayward in mind?

No.

In 1972 Paul Vigrass and Gary Osborne released an album called, Queues (now out of print), featuring Jeff Wayne as a synthesizer player. The single released from that album, "Forever Autumn", was a minor hit. To hear an mp3 of the original version, go to www.sightnsound.org and click on "Moody Blues".

Justin tells the story that when Jeff Wayne was recording the album War of the Worlds, he called the Threshold offices asking for, "the guy who sings "Nights in White Satin", and so the collaboration was born. War of the Worlds was released in 1978. For more information on the different versions of "Forever Autumn" which have been released, see Section 5.3
