In March, 1974 the Moodies were invited to play China, but, although the tour was widely reported, it did not actually take place. However, thanks to the British table tennis team asking that it be played at a gathering in their honor, their album To Our Children's Children's Children was the first western rock music played in China, where the Communist government strictly forbade such music. This exposure to the music led to the invitation to tour. |
